Other Companies

In the past, I have been very Stampin' Up! exclusive.  One of their biggest selling points, at least for me, has been that their cardstock, DSP, ink pads and markers all coordinate.  Since I am not an artist at heart, I really appreciate the extra help that gives me.

This year, I decided to "play" with some other company items.  I really enjoyed the Hunky Dory card making kit; below is a card made with an older (1990s) Peanuts stamp, and A couple of cards made with items I received from Echo Park.  I think the quality with Stampin' Up! is still better--IMHO.

Using up what I have

Since I have been a demonstrator for 13 years (not all at once), I have a lot of "stuff" that is not used up.  One of my goals is to pare down--either by selling (I have some stamp sets on facebook marketplace), or to use up old stock.  These two cards are the last of my pacific point.  So if you are looking, I have a used pacific point stamp pad, marker and brand new re-inker available!

Creative Connections Swaps

One of the fun things we get to do when we get together with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators is to make cards and swap with other demonstrators.  The cards below are what I made for swaps and what I received for swaps.

These are the cards I swapped.  These were made with the 5 new in-colors, layered flowers embossing folder, Spotlight on Nature stamp set and dies, Thoughtful Moments Hybrid embossing folder, in color resin dots.

The 6 photos above are what I received as swaps.

Cup of Tea

One of the stamp suites I got the most cards out of this past year is the Cup of Tea.  The stamp set, dies and DSP all coordinated very well.  You could also get a set of notecards to coordinate as well.  The colors were Stampin' Up!s in colors from 2022-2024.  I really like all of them!

The last 4 cards were made with a new technique to me--cut a 6x6 piece of DSP in quarters, not even, and use for 4 different cards.

Stampin' Up! Scrapbook Kits

With the acquisition of Close to My Heart, Stampin' Up! is once again focusing on the scrapbooking kits.  While they have only been available to former Close to My Heart customers, I believe the rest of us can start purchasing this fall.  I'm looking forward to going back to scrapbooking--it's been almost 10 years.

One of the silver linings of leftover scrapbook kit supplies is that you can make cards with the leftovers.  These cards were made with leftovers of a birthday party kit, Polka Dot Party.

Creative Connections

Minnesota had a demonstrator get together--Creative Connections.  Several Million Dollar Achievers were on stage with suggestions for running the business, and ideas for cards to make in classes and parties.  Most of the higher achievers are running their business online.  There were about 300 there.  We had a great time!  These are the 3 cards we got to make--all of the supplies and directions were supplied, we just needed to put words on them.

The last of the card uploads

Ok, I'm finally caught up taking pictures of the cards I've made, and uploading them to either here or Splitcoaststampers! Sometime...
