Old Stampin' Up! stamp sets

As a continuation of the "Splitcoastampers" post--and the 5,000 cards--I tried to get at least 10 cards made out of each stamp set that I purchased.  I used them for demonstrating ideas for the classes that I had, but also sold the cards at craft fairs, and used them for gifts (especially the grandmas).

I do not take pictures very well, evidenced below.  These were pictures taken with a point and shoot digital camera (old ones), then printed on less than professional photo paper, then scanned back in to the computer.  The sets were Frosty, DD Grapes, DD Leaves and Watercolor Garden.

Stampin' Up! Regional Online

Stampin' Up! used to have regional "mini" conventions--we had several in Minneapolis years ago.  They have gone to an online format.  We had a 4 hour online meeting where we made three cards with the Nests of Winter Suite collection, coming in the fall/winter catalog.  I do believe this will be my Christmas card set.  I've seen a ton of ideas for this set already on the internet!

How time flies!

I can't believe it's been 10 days already since my last post--obviously, I don't have posting in my regular life schedule yet.

For those of us demonstrators who met a sales goal in April, we received a gift of scrapbook paper--Countryside Rose--and had a facebook/zoom meeting and made a few items with the scrapbook paper.  These are the two cards.  We also have a pattern for a gift bag, which I haven't made yet.  These cards were made with the Thoughtful Wishes bundle--stamp set and coordinating dies.  I think I will get quite a bit of use out of this set, although I don't think it will be in pinks.

Splitcoaststampers

If you need card ideas to copy, Splitcoaststampers.com is the place to go!  Their website has great ideas, card ideas uploaded every day, and areas for stamp vendors.  Stampin' Up!s area is huge--all of the stamp sets are listed alphabetically, some stamps sets have hundreds of ideas.  You can get lost!

You can also look up card ideas by creator--I use suespms there as well.  I have between 900-1000 card photos there.  Overall, I have made more than 5,000 cards--a goal that my husband suggested back in 2002.  (Actually, he suggested 500 cards would make me a proficient stamper--I got a little carried away).  The ideas below are made with Artistically Inked--a stamp set I did not think I would like at first, but am really enjoying using it!

New to me - Hunkydory

I made my first purchase from Scrapbook.com--love their stuff!  Hunkydory is out of the UK--the cardstock is very stiff, colors are phenomenal!  This set was from last fall--September/October 2023, called The Enchanted Realm.  I purchased it on clearance.  The two smallest cards are A2--most of them are 5.5x8.5 (half sheet rather than quarter sheet).  I didn't find many ideas online, so most of them are original designs.

Don't forget the old sets!

I ran across a former Stampin' Up! demonstrator the other night on youtube.  She had maybe 15 or so videos up, and was focused on using her old "favorites".  When I first started as a demonstrator in 2002 the first time, I really had hoped to have a traditional party business.  What I ended up with was a group of ladies stamping at my house every month or two--stamp classes.  I did really enjoy them!  I would love to start another group this fall.

Back to old favorites--one of my first stamp sets was the Smile set.  I took pictures of the cards I made, then printed them into books so I had record of what I made.  These were made by a new stamper, me, back in 2002, so very basic stamping.  They were really fun!

Finally Finished!

I ordered the Blessings of Heart & Home Suite back in February 2022, and finally finished.  The suite was incredible--Blessings of Home and Honeybee Home stamp sets and dies, 10 4x6 cards and envelopes, 10 3x4 cards and envelopes, 12x12 DSP, 4 pages of stickers, denim ribbon and classic matte dots.  I had leftover accessories from my son and daughter in law's wedding thank yous, so incorporated those in as well.  I'm not usually one for enjoying stamping kits, but I'd say out of the ones that I've used this is one of my favorites!  I did make two additional cards with cinnamon cider cardstock.

My upline, Dawn Olchefske (DOstamping) has monthly creative challenges to get us to make cards regularly.  We post on facebook, I believe the group is not public, but you might be able to access the cards:  we listed them in June as #cc24jun.  These are the 6 cards that I created:  #DOswts433 (Dawn's sketch), non-suite bundle, bundle, peekaboo card, punches, CASE the annual catalog.

The last of the card uploads

Ok, I'm finally caught up taking pictures of the cards I've made, and uploading them to either here or Splitcoaststampers! Sometime...
